Almost didn't make it this week. Busy being a mom and that leaves very little room for painting or any else. I guess I'd have more time if I used it a little more wisely, but I'm just not sure what to cut out. Eating? That's not going to happen, Exercising? That's not happening either. It's the only thing I do for myself. Sigh. Guess I need to cut out blogging or Facebook.
Anyways this is getting depressing.
I'm fairly happy with my painting. It almost got the trash bin at least a dozen times during the process. Salt and rice paper were used as well as a small amount of white paint.

I am hopeless at time management and figure that is why they invented the evening hours when everyone else is in bed... that is the time I can catch up on all the stuff I forgot or ran out of time for... the rocks in this are really well handled...xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful painting! It's hard to find time for yourself, but so important. Wishing you time for you. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteYour art is fantabulous! A true artist you are. I admire your work and will aspire to be like you when I grow up. HPPF.
ReplyDeletei completely understand what you're going through-- just not enough hours in the day!
ReplyDeletei'm so very glad that your painting didn't end up in the trash bin. you do such a great job of layering your watercolors... very pretty!
I love the water foam. It looks so real. :)
ReplyDeletewow your painting is totally fabulous. Happy PPF, Annette x
ReplyDeleteI love as trabajs watercolors, I feel a healthy envy, really you are very good artist, you don't. saludos
ReplyDeleteOh my, so glad this didn't end up in the trash, it's gorgeous! Finding time is hard but there's always something you can give up when painting is what you"need" to do, even if you only get 5 minutes here or there it's worth it, for me at least!
ReplyDeleteIts amazing what fresh eyes can do for a painting. It looks 100% better than I thought it looked last night. Thanks for the encouragement everyone!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this, but especially the lichen on the rock and the yellow leaf in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you kept going with it and saved it from the trash. It reminds me of a beautiful stream I saw in Boulder last week! If you find the secret to time and getting more of it you can make millions because so many are searching for it with you (including me!).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love that incorporation of the rice paper as mist!
ReplyDeletePlease don't give up blogging!! It's so great seeing your new paintings each week! :)

This is a fabulous painting, Jen. I really like how you did your water. Something I still need to learn. Well done. :)
ReplyDeleteYour watercolors are always so lovely! I'm trying to learn this medium on my own....but still have a long way to go.
ReplyDeleteThose glimpses of light in the water are fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful watercolor, you've got some skills! Good thing you didn't throw it away, love how you did this view, the water, the mist! It is very difficult to find time for art if one is also a mother and a wife, who works and excercises, I know... Keep creating anyway! :))
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous!
