The night before Max's birthday Jarrett was at work late and I was up until 1am getting ready for the next day. Thank goodness I had a texting partner that night. Thanks Rachel :)
Max was up at the bright and early hour of 6:30am the next day.
Max loves plain old Hershey candy bars best. So we bought him a bunch.
Gir from INVADER ZIM
Max loves Gir so much that he wore him to take Lilly to school that day. With his vampire costume of course.
This game of course had to be exchanged because everything I touch is cursed.
It is really fun though.
I love his cute little face here.
All the loot
It started raining and being nasty around 4pm. It let up about an hour before the party but was still windy and cold. We picked all our pumpkins and Max set them around the back yard.
Close up on the Zombie fingers made from fondant with food coloring gel painted on with a paint brush.
Brain made from a cupcake and fondant painted in the same manner as the fingers
Appetizing fingers, frogs, brains, teeth and skulls.
Max will only allow us to get Halloween books from the Library.
In almost every Halloween book that has a Halloween party, they bob for apples.
His party would not be complete without bobbing for apples.
Cake time. We had to put up lots of wind blocks.
Some unflattering pictures of everyone freezing while eating cake and ice cream.
Here is Jennifer humpback.
Max's party was also a......
Costume Party
Thanks everyone for dressing up :)
With a Zombie pinata of course. (post tomorrow about how I made it) Who doesn't love smashing a Zombie??
Lilly broke off the head, but the candy was in the torso so we had to tie the torso up and the kids whacked the torso till finally Max broke it open.
There was no light left by the time he opened his presents so not any pictures.
He got lots of Halloween stuff and a monster truck crush cars game.

Max said he lots of fun. Thanks everyone for helping to make his birthday fun and special.
What a party!! I have two things to say . . . that is a seriously huge bear and that food is awesome (especially the fingers)! He must have loved every minute of it!
