Winter Might Be Here....Finally!

We have had snow (albeit light snow) for the 3rd time this week!  I love snow and winter!  I never understand people who don't.  Although come spring, I love that as well. I wouldn't like to live in a place that only had one season.  Hot.  or Cold. I love the changes of the seasons and each new and exciting thing it brings.

First Snow of the Season

Both the kids played outside but by the time I thought to get my camera, Lilly had already come in.  But I did get some cute pictures of Max.  He played outside by himself for probably 15 or 20 minutes after Lilly came inside.  He was so cute,  It was like he was discovering snow for the first time.  He was rolling around it, and just lying there in the snow looking around.  It was a nice surprise to wake up and see the beautiful white world.

And he did some spying on the neighbors through the knot holes in the fence.

An Ode to Summer

The lawn chair and table in the shade with paper and crayons is beckoning to me.........come.

Fall Pictures

Fall has got to be one of my favorite seasons.  It's beautiful and the temperatures are perfect.  This weekend we took the opportunity to drive up the canyon.  We drove the NEBO LOOP this time.  It was breathtaking.  We stopped to take a few pictures of the kids and  I really wish I would have planned better and had the kids wear some more "picture appropriate" clothes and have at least done Lilly's hair.  Oh well, it's au natural and that's how we roll.

Lilly's other front tooth is honestly hanging on by sheer luck.

Spring-ness

Pajamas and bare feet on the swing set.  Must be nice and warm right?  It was maybe 40 degrees at 10 am when I took these photos.  But compared to the last 4 days of snow and 20 degree weather, it was heaven!

 See that little bit of green coming up!!!  That means that spring WILL come!!!  I love going out every spring and checking to make sure all the plants and bushes are showing some green!  This particular plant is Zebra grass.

Winter is here!

Winter has arrived and I couldn't be happier!  I really love all the seasons.  I couldn't tell you my favorite because I love things about all of them.  I'm glad I live someplace that has all 4 seasons.  Just when I feel I couldn't take another day of winter...Spring is here and just when I feel like I'm going to melt and am sooo sick of the hot, hot days, Fall arrives!
But Winter is here and I took some pictures around our house to prove it.  Here they are.

I love how the snow/ice collected on the red leaves of our Oak Leaf Hydrangea.

Snow on a  tree stump in the corner of our backyard.  This would make a good painting.

We can't believe our Petunias are still living!

Moss and snow  covered rock.  Isn't this rock cool! It had no moss earlier this spring!  It was in the shade of our Iris's this summer and got lots of water!  Ta da! Moss!
