Lilly

Here's my 6 year old little cutie!  She loves to do anything crafty or artsy.  She loves making things. I wonder where she gets it from?   She's also very curious about the world around her.  She loves learning! And I love that!  She loves informative books.  She always brings home the books from school to read for homework that are about animals, plants and bugs, Volcanoes, Space and the Earth.  She asked for a Telescope for her Birthday so she could look at birds, and the moon and stars at night.  I hope she continues her love of learning throughout her life.
Lilly's first cake!

BatMax

Max got some Batman Pajamas for Christmas and he wears them ALL the time...with his cape and mask of course.  Looks like I've got Halloween covered for next year!

Max is my 3 year old little cutie.  Max likes cars and trains, but he LOVES Monster trucks the best.  He's also recently fallen in love with Batman.  He also loves books and to be read to.  He loves to play outside and ride his bike (that he can  finally pedal!).

Scrap Fabric Pillow

This Project was super easy!  The pillow came together in about 15 minutes and the ribbon and flower took about 40.   Now if I can just get the kids to leave it alone.

Scrap Fabric Bag

Here it is.  My first project with my new Serger!  I've got so many projects I want to do, but I told myself that I needed to use up a good portion of my scrap fabric, before I went out and bought any more.  So I made a patchwork bag and then braided strips of fabric to make the handles.  I also put elastic in the top.
I'm going to use it as my new Church bag...if I don't feel too weird with it.

Inside pocket, notice the Serging!

Lilly's Camera

Three years ago, Lilly got a digital, Fisher Price camera for Christmas.  Since it is for kids, they made it so you can't take the memory card out without using a screwdriver.  Yes, it is a pain.  We loaded all the pictures onto our computer and gave it back to her and she used it until the battery ran out and we all forgot about it until this last Monday.  We loaded the pictures on to our computer and there were some pretty cute ones.  These are all pictures that Lilly took.  They are from 1 1/2 to 2 years ago.  I wish I could have posted them all but there are too many so I just chose a few...or a dozen.

I think Max wanted to try the camera.

Self Portraits

Played around with the camera and computer today...I know..... real productive.  But I had to find something to do while the kids played with their Playdough for 2 hours.  Anyways here are the results.
Lilly took this one of me.

I know, a lot of pictures of me.  But I figure someday, someone in my posterity might be curious as to how I looked when I was younger and.... I'm  really excited because at the end of this month, I'm getting our blog turned into a hardcover, bound book!  Cool huh!  I'm going to do it at the end of every year.  I can't wait!  So this way there will be some documented pictures of me, since I'm not in very  many pictures, because I'm usually taking the picture and my kids are way cuter than me so...  Oh and you have no idea how many pictures I took to get some decent ones...like 50 or 60.  I'm not kidding, and I had to play around with all the editing tools to make myself look better than I actually am, that's why the majority of the pictures are "antiqued"it's a little more forgiving.

Merry Day After Christmas

I've never been the the type of person who has my kids open a present on Christmas Eve...but Jarrett and I got the kids some (much needed) pajamas for Christmas, and since I didn't want "Christmas morning" pictures in old, ratty, too small jammies, we decided to let them open this one present on Christmas Eve.
Lilly looks pretty excited until....

She sees the box her jammies are wrapped in... Crackers.   But...

once she realizes it's not crackers inside she's happy again.

The kids went to bed after reading our traditional, Twas the Night Before Christmas story.  Lilly only woke up 4 times to ask if she could open presents and Max only once.  Thank You Jarrett for taking care of that.
Santa got smart this year and put wrapping paper across the doorway.

The newest book in Lilly's favorite series.

Bigfoot was a hit, but his favorite was, and still is, the Batman House in the background.

Lilly got a big art box full of art supplies and Max got a sketch book.  The kids wasted no time getting started.

Max also got a Monster Jam Wii game

Play dough was also a hit
