First and Last Day of School Pictures

2011-2012 School Year
First Day of School Picture

Last Day of School Picture

Matchy Match Shorts

Made Lilly and Max matching shorts.  Was going to add ruffles to Lilly's but she did NOT want them.  Go figure, she takes after her mother at that age.  I learned how to make side pockets and pockets with flaps for the back.  Also the faux fly.
Since without a head shot, it's hard to tell who is who, this is Lilly.

And this is Max
Different buttons and a few more pockets for Max.

This is his TNT money pocket.
He loves ACDC's TNT because a lot of Monster truck compilation on YouTube that he loves to watch have it.
He also loves explosions and bombs....and more recently, fireworks because they say TNT on the box and well........he's a boy.

Last Day of Speech Therapy

Max's speech teacher this year was Mrs. Jenkins
She worked very well this Max and I'm sad she won't be his teacher again next year.

The picture below is of the door of the trailer that he had speech in.
Yes he is holding himself because he had to go to the bathroom.
Yes, he peed behind the trailer in case you are wondering.
Yes, he mentioned it to his speech teacher.
Yes, I was mortified.

Last Weekend's Pictures

My Grandma has a couple of Peony plants and she gave us a bouquet of them.  They smell AMAZING!!!  They are quickly becoming my new favorite flower.
I'm going to go get me some peony plants ASAP!!!

We also drove up the Nebo loop and hiked to The Grotto
It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend and I didn't want it to end.

We stopped and ate a picnic lunch and discovered a hidden rope swing.

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa and Cousins

Max LOVED Samuel!  He kept putting his arm around him the whole time they were here.  It was really cute!

I think Max was just glad to have another boy around who was his same age.

Playing Outside Does the Body Good

It's safe to say that my children spend probably 5+ hours outside a day.....
They are happier and sleep better when they get enough exercise and it cuts down on the hyperactivity.
Kids need to play outside.
We have been very blessed to have a yard for the kids to play and run around in.

Max picks up and plays with any creepy crawly thing he finds in the yard.

Swinging and jumping

Catching bugs

Worried when they realized that the moth they caught had a broken wing.  Which is why they were able to catch it.

 Playing in the sandbox
