Skateboarding

Skateboarding in the fall was awesome!!!  In the Spring you have everyone out all the time because they went all winter without.  But in the fall you have cool weather and most people (kids) are burnt out on it and so you get the skatepark to yourself.
Worst skate day ever though, was by far the day the fire station had their annual "Come Learn About The Fire Station Day" and the entire skate park parking lot was full of soccer mom's cars.  They have a life flight helicopter come and land at the fire station.  Well it blew me over and took my shirt off.
True Story.
Worst part?
That hill behind Max in the picture above that looks tiny but is huge, was full of first graders and their teachers and parents.

Fall Bike rides

My Birthday

 So for my birthday all i wanted to do was go the Sandy skatepark and hike to Cecret lake with my family.  We skated all morning and then it started raining as we headed up Little Cottonwood Canyon.  Luckily we all brought raincoats because rain was on the forecast.  I've always wanted a stormy birthday and I got one.  It poured until we started hiking and then stopped while we hiked!  It was perfect.  These pictures are all mixed up and not in order and we also hike to Lisa Falls.  a short .25 mile hike.

A big ol' cloud rolled in while we were at the lake and it was awesome being engulfed in a cloud on top of the mountain.

Don't be Sad

Lilly made these little drawings to put in a locket that I've had since High School.  They are drawings of Lilly and Max.  "So I won't be sad when they are both in school."
Looking back now almost three months later and I can honestly say that I'm not really sad at all.  I enjoy having a few hours a day to myself.  For the first time in nine years.  I can go for a bike ride, draw, paint, shower, exercise, clean the house, pay bills, grocery shop or just look on the internet in peace.  It's lovely!

Rock and Roll

Back in August I learned how to do Rock and Roll on the coping.  It's way fun and I'm a pro at it now!

Cowboy Shirt

Found this awesome shirt at D.I. for pennies, took in the sides (each 2 inches) and hemmed the sleeves up about 2 inches.  It's my new favorite shirt!!!

Zombie chase 5k

The race was fun.  It was warm and I was ready.  We got our numbers the day before and the address to the race which they kept a secret was given out about a week before.  They did however mention that is was going to be on the outskirts of Springville.

We were down in Provo helping my grandparents on the Saturday before the race.  We had received the official address , so we entered in the address on Google Maps and we drove to the site and it was at a cemetery and closer to opposite end of the "outskirts"  we were thinking.  It was at a cemetery though  (which is what they had vaguely mentioned) so we thought "Awesome" and didn't think of it anymore.

The night before the race we decided to take my sister (who was also running the race) to go see the site.  This time we decided to follow the freeway instructions since that's the way we would be going on race day.  

We ended up out by the lake.

Nowhere near a cemetery.

Or the previous address we went to.

Apparently the address that ended up by the cemetery was Mapleton.  

What are the chances that the exact address in the next town over was a cemetery?????

Needless to say, we were glad we had figured it out before race day.

Like I said before, most of my pictures didn't get imported before I erased them so these two crappy "Instagram" photo's are the only ones I've got.
