Ramblings of an almost Mad Woman

Can I just say that sometimes I feel like a horrible mom.  There I said it.  Took the kids to ride over at the track near our house and Max wouldn't ride his bike he only wanted to walk it, and I  was frustrated with him because I was trying to push my own scooter and keep Lilly from getting too far ahead and Max is still a little unstable on his new bigger bike and kept running into things and getting off and on and I over reacted and made everyone come home and sent him straight to bed without reading to him or anything.  Now I feel horrible.
On another note can I just tell you some words I can't stand.  Here they are in no particular order.

Swoon
Eek
Supes
Totes

Also I can't stand all these barking dogs and my house just can't seem to stay clean.  Also I'm always busy. I feel like I spend 99% of my day cleaning up messes after people and then the house still looks like a tornado hit it.  I hate unloading the dishwasher and hand washing the dishes that won't fit.  The kids watch more television than I would like.
I hate shopping.  With a PASSION!  I don't like it even a little.  And grocery shopping is at the top of the list.
I 'm annoyed with my hair.  I can't stand it long or short.  I've thought of shaving it off more than a few times.
My husband works a lot of hours and it gets annoying being a single Mom all week.
I'm tired of staying up until Lilly falls asleep at midnight and then getting up with Max at 7am.
I want to hide under a rock sometimes.
Responsibility sucks.
Money sucks too.
I'm annoyed with people who say they will do something and then don't do it.
People need to learn how to drive.....correctly.
I wish Everyone had camera's on their cars and then when you capture someone doing something stupid while driving you push a "send" button and what they did that was stupid gets sent to the police and they get a "stupid ticket"  and when you get 3, you have to take your driving test over again.
I hate eating.  It's annoying.  I wish I had a chef to make and clean up all my meals.
I need a new wardrobe
I'm tired of taking care of plants and grass,  It needs to be winter.
Wish I could go hiking more often.
I hate listening to people complain.....like I'm doing now.
I'm tired of "book keeping"
Dragging kids to the Library sucks.  I look for books and they run a muck and then people give me the evil eye like "control your kids"
I hate cleaning up messes
I'm glad it's Conference this weekend because if I had to do one more church responsibility I think I'd scream
I feel totally burned out.....I need a LONG vacation
This may come out wrong, but I really dislike kids.  I love my own but don't particularly care to "babysit" other peoples.   I never have.
Anyways that felt good to get out and everyone probably thinks I'm a crazy lady now, but I needed to vent and ......... I'm just keepin' it "real" Peace.

No Sew Fabric Streamers

I can't lie.  This was not my idea.  But when I was looking at Walmart for some crepe paper to hang streamers for Max's birthday (and they didn't have ANY...in any color)  I remembered that I had seen someone do this.  It was easy, fun and used up some of my leftover fabric...(although not nearly enough). All you need is a ribbon and some fabric scraps.  Cut the fabric into strips of varying lengths (most of mine were about 1 inch wide by about a foot long)  there's no need to measure or be exact, in fact it looks better if you don't.  Then just tie the scraps onto the ribbon.  Easy peasy.  Then you can save it to hang up every year for birthdays.  Although I think I'll need to make a more girly colored one for Lilly.

Watercolor Wednesday Week 31

My life has finally slowed down enough for me to paint. This painting is done on a half sheet  (22 1/2 by 15 inches) of Arches Watercolor paper.  View my other paintings HERE.  Thanks to everyone from PAINT PARTY FRIDAY'S for all your encouraging and kind words about my work every week.  I enjoy seeing what everyone's done during the week.

Max's 4th Birthday

Max started the day with the usual Birthday balloons and streamers.  Then he went straight to work on his presents.

He got a new bike, a soccer ball and soccer nets, a spiderman costume and action figure and some Pokemon cards.
After we took Lilly to school Max and I went out to play soccer...Max wore his costume of course.

Then he rode his new bike, in his costume of course.

Then after Lilly came home from school,my sister and her two kids and my other sister and Lilly and Max and I all went to JUMP ON IT.  No pictures but we had a blast!  Then we ate dinner and family came over for the birthday cake and ice cream.
My grandparents
We finally remembered to use our Tiki torches
We were waiting for everyone to get there. Grandma and Grandpa got there a little early!

Max wanted a Bat signal cake so that's what he got.  I used THIS recipe for Marshmallow fondant.

I took a bunch of pictures of the cake inside and then brought it out for better light and while I was inside getting my camera someones little finger poked the cake.

Max got some more spiderman stuff, money, and a nerf gun from family.  Max wore his costume of course while opening presents.  He even wore it to Target to get last minute hamburger buns ( I love you Jarrett even if you did take the buns for max's dinner to work.)

We stayed out until well after it was dark.
The kids all wrestled and payed Spiderman.  (Thank you Shaunie and Jake for the extra costume for Lilly)
Max had a good day and told me he wanted to do it all over again.  Happy Birthday Max I can't believe you are 4 already!

Rollerblading with Max

Since Lilly's started school again, I've been rollerblading or biking to Bridal Veil twice a week.  My sister comes with, usually one of those times.  It's been nice to get outside to exercise for a change.  Spending time with Max has been good for both of us as well.

Monster Activity Bag

Made this little bag for Max to take to his first "friend" birthday party.  It's got slots for 13 crayons, 6 cars and two big pockets in addition to the main bag compartment.  Perfect to take to church or in the car.

I used the same tutorial for my easy  TOTE BAG .  Just changed the size a little bit and added inside pockets and compartments.

Another Baby Shower Quilt

Yes another one!  It's a double baby shower...for sisters no less.  Both having girls!  So I made the two quilts similar but different.  Click HERE to see the sisters quilt.

My CRAZY life!

I feel like my life is going at 100 miles per hour right now and the speed wobbles are setting in and any minute I'm going to spin out of control.  Between birthdays and baby showers and my church's PRIMARY Program that I've suddenly been thrown into putting on by myself, and gifts to make for before said birthday's and baby showers  and cakes to make and gifts to buy and wrap and doctor's appointments and car appointments I'm about ready to pull out my hair!!!!!!!!
Sometimes I forget that I need to just take a deep breath and stop and smell the flowers.
