Jarrett's Birthday

I really can't believe this is the only picture I have of his birthday.  I need to be better at taking pictures.  We had all of my family over, plus Jeff and Kat, and Jordan and Sara and the Melara's.

Also, with his birthday money, Jarrett bought me a new skateboard, with trucks, bearings and grip tape.

Here's my old board next to my new one :)

Teeth

So since this is a blog about the stuff my family and I make, here is some stuff Jarrett has made:

He's making the transition to "waxing" teeth at work, instead of pressing/investing.  It's a long weird process to try and explain.  Google "Dental Technician" if you want to know more.  I'm sure someone has already written a much better explanation than I could.
This is what I did before I had kids as well.  "Waxing."
They look super good and I'm super proud!

Zombie chase 5k

The race was fun.  It was warm and I was ready.  We got our numbers the day before and the address to the race which they kept a secret was given out about a week before.  They did however mention that is was going to be on the outskirts of Springville.
We were down in Provo helping my grandparents on the Saturday before the race.  We had received the official address , so we entered in the address on Google Maps and we drove to the site and it was at a cemetery and closer to opposite end of the "outskirts"  we were thinking.  It was at a cemetery though  (which is what they had vaguely mentioned) so we thought "Awesome" and didn't think of it anymore.
The night before the race we decided to take my sister (who was also running the race) to go see the site.  This time we decided to follow the freeway instructions since that's the way we would be going on race day.
We ended up out by the lake.
Nowhere near a cemetery.
Or the previous address we went to.
Apparently the address that ended up by the cemetery was Mapleton.
What are the chances that the exact address in the next town over was a cemetery?????
Needless to say, we were glad we had figured it out before race day.

Like I said before, most of my pictures didn't get imported before I erased them so these two crappy "Instagram" photo's are the only ones I've got.

Jarrett's Birthday

Jarrett got out his old skateboard and skated around and I took photos.  Skateboarding was a pretty big part of his life at one time.    When we were first dating we would go skateboard around at night, in empty parking lots.  I had started getting into skateboarding about a year before I met Jarrett, so I'm pretty sure I impressed with my skating abilities.  Ha ha!  Not really, I could skate around and get up and off curbs but that's about it.  Jarrett will try and tell you he was never any good, but he's just being modest.  He was REALLY good.
I love to see him skate and wish he would do it more often.  Hint , hint.

Lilly and Max rode around on their bikes.

Jarrett invited some friends over and also some family and we had pies.  I made strawberry, peach, blackberry and chocolate.

Sadly I am horrible at taking pictures when we have family and friends over so all the pictures are ones Jarrett took.  We had 15  people over but never did get a shot of everyone.

Ha ha!  This really isn't a good picture.

Jarrett's Birthday Activity

We went to Park City to Celebrate Jarrett's Birthday.
We rode on the Flying Eagle
 Alpine Coaster
Beautiful ride and scenery.

 And the Alpine Slide
Which you apparently can't ride on when it's wet.
It started raining on our way up on the chair lifts.
They give no refund.
We waited an hour at the top.
Fun day none the less.
I can't think of a better place to be stranded than on a beautiful mountain top.
