Arizona Days 4-6

My FIL took us to Canyon De Chelly (pronounced de shay) last Thursday.   It was really breathtaking.  Most of the ruins were only viewable from up above and far away.  Makes you wonder how the Anasazi got into those houses.  Ropes or ladders I guess.
The first place we went was a rock formation called SPIDER ROCK.  The lore behind it and it's name came from the Navajo.

The next place we went was White House.  We had a 3 mile round trip hike down the canyon to get to it.

This photo below was the trail.

Max was pretending he was Spider Man all the way down.....hence the "rocker" sign.

On our way back up a herd of goats and sheep passed us on their way down.  No sheepherder, only 2 sheep dogs.
