End of Summer Swimming
The summer is drawing to a close. I hate that. But I love fall. I just hate that our long, lazy summer days will be over. But we got a couple last fun backyard swims in. (In addition to our weekly visits to 7 peaks). I can tell the kids are almost over swimming cause at the beginning over the summer, they can swim for 4 or 5 hours at a time. By the end, they maybe last 2.

AAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
I am the type of person who stresses out about things.
I come from a long line of "stresser outers"
I wish there was some magical cure or switch that I could shut off and not worry about things.
August/September have always been pretty stressful as it is, what with all 4 in our family with birthdays.
This year, Lilly's birthday was on the first day of school, and she had a friend party. So in addition to the cupcakes made for the party ( post about that to come), and the first day of school stuff, I had to bring in Birthday treats on the first day of school and then make a cake for her birthday.
We also have an extra baptism (Lilly's) to plan for, and an after baptism luncheon, and a Primary Program, the week after the baptism and a Primary Ice Cream Party the day after the Program.
I'm not even going to go into everything else the rest of the month.
To say I am stressed out would be an understatement.
If I am still alive at the end of September (without an ulcer) it will be a miracle.

End Of Summer Bowling Party
We once again attended the End of Summer Bowling Party. We bowled, the kids got their faces painted and we came home.

Two-Headed Monster
Max and Lilly quite often watch YouTube video's (Of Halloween stuff mostly, or animals) like this together. I'm so glad that they play together so nicely (most of time) despite being 3 years apart.

The Story of Max's Hair
I reluctantly agreed to cut Max's beautiful locks. I'm a sucker for long hair. But he started getting nasty tangles and I couldn't deal with it anymore. He's is only pretending to be sad in the picture. He was thrilled!!!!
He asked for a mohawk. He'd never had one before. And being a punk rock girl, I happily agreed.
Here he is pretending to sing Halloween by The Misfits. His favorite song, cause well, he's awesome.
You should have seen people driving past staring at him. I'll bet they'd never seen a mohawk of that size in their life, let alone on a 4 year old boy.
I most often styled this length as a curl-hawk as shown below, for church and stuff.

Here it is, in all its one foot glory. I used egg whites- punk rock style.

Not surprisingly, his hair stunk. Bad. And I knew I wasn't up to styling that thing everyday, so I cut about 6 inches off.
Still adorable and only needed gel to hold that baby up.
But when not styled, it looked a lot like a mullet. A lot. I had enough.
We buzzed it off.
And he's still adorable.
Don't let the sad look fool you, he LOVES it.
