The kids got a ladybug land and a butterfly habitat for Christmas. They come with a code that you either mail in or go online and order. We chose to have ours sent the end of April. It takes about 2 or 3 weeks until you receive it. You can order them online at their website http://www.insectlore.com/. I've also seen them at Toys R Us and Target. They are pretty cool to watch. It's really amazing how they can change like that. Just a warning the butterflies do excrete some blood when hatching, so if that kind of thing grosses you out you might want to steer clear of the butterflies. It's not a lot but it's definitely noticeable. I also think I would have waited until summer to send off for them so Lilly could have seen more of them. You can watch a cool video about them HERE.
That wadded up piece of paper towel, is soaked in a water/sugar mixture and if you look closely you can see the butterfly drinking with his proboscis.
